Dan figure from Liberia / Ivory Coast, standing on short stocky legs, the female with arms to the sides, jutting stomach, overhanging buttocks, pendulous breasts, incised tubular neck, and facial features that include slit eyes, triangular nose, and oval mouth with metal teeth. Pigment around eyes and scarification markings on face and torso. Provenance: Johann Rudolf Geigy collection, Basel.
