Dan mask from Ivory Coast, the face characterized by round eyes, thin, arched brows, a delicate nose, an open, jutting mouth, pointy chin, and a tall forehead with medial ridge. Pierced laterally for attachment, also with nails and a shiny black surface. Old inventory number reads “882” on the inside. Provenance: from a private California collection.
