Dan mask from Liberia/ Ivory Coast, the face with tall forehead, slit eyes, delicate nose, and open mouth, covered in leather and topped by an old coiffure with cowrie shells. Provenance: Ex. Joel Greene, San Francisco; Ex. Cooper Evans, New York.

Part of the leather is missing on the forehead, as well as on the sides of the face. The coiffure has been stabilized. Other surface damage and imperfections.
